Human Thyrotrophin Receptor Monoclonal Antibody - Clone 4C1

Research tool for

  • Western blotting
  • Immunoprecipitation
  • Flow cytometry
  • Immunohistochemistry (frozen section)

Inhibits binding of TSH to TSH receptor by 70-80%.

The human thyrotrophin receptor (TSHR) is found primarily in epithelial cells of thyroid follicles where it induces (by cAMP) the phospholipase C and protein kinase A signal transduction pathways.  TSHR is the major pathogenic autoantigen in human autoimmune thyroid Graves’ disease.

Product Type

Hybridoma for monoclonal antibody

Immunogen

Bacterially expressed extracellular domain (residues 1-415 of humanTSHR fused to GST)

CrossReactivity

Cross-reacts with human and theoretically with rat, pig, sheep, mouse, dog, cat

Specificity

Detects residues 378 - 384 of human TSHR.

Recognises nativeprotein.

Raised in

Mouse

Isotype

IgG2a
